Iftikhar Mahmood, CFP®

After graduating from University of Toronto, with a degree in Economics, I spent approximately 10 years working in corporate finance. I decided I wanted to make a change and work towards helping people rather than corporations achieve their own financial goals. This led me to working with several mutual fund dealers, where I cut my teeth in learning the industry, also acquiring my CFP designation.

I ultimately became insurance licensed and completed the exempt markets proficiency course, allowing me to offer various private equity issues to my clientele. I have worked in the industry for over 20 years now.

The main focus of my business is to provide solutions to my clients and ultimately help them to achieve their goals.

Staying active can be a challenge especially when running your own practice and raising 3 active sons but I hit the gym at least 3 times a week and enjoy the outdoors playing golf, tennis and hiking. Married for over 25 years to Maryam and father to my 3 boys, Sulaiman, Bilal and Mustafa
